This map shows off the locations where eggcases have been recorded - as you can see there are some areas where we have no eggcases recorded - this is partly due to no hunts taking place in this area and, in areas such as the northeast of England, partly because eggcases don't seem to wash up in these areas.

 

We are currently working with government scientists from CEFAS (the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science) to map these records against the distribution of juvenile rays of the same species to better understand the relationship between egglaying grounds and where eggcases wash ashore.
